Couscous and Cake

So…

Today was a relaxing “day-in” sort of day. I caught up with my readings for the week (or at least tried to) but Henry V just did not interest me as much as King Lear did. For dinner Julia made her version of couscous, topped with a mixture of beans, sweet peppers, and tomatoes. While waiting we had slices of toast bread with butter and salad rocket.

For dessert Cassia bought a carrot cake with walnuts – I tried a small slice but the walnuts made my throat itchy (a sign of a possible allergic reaction). That was unfortunate, since the icing was creamy and the cake was deliciously moist.
