Packing for a Semester Abroad Part 4: The Shoes and Accessories

So…

This is the final blog post in the “Packing for a Semester Abroad” series, and will detail the types of shoes I plan on bringing with me for my four-month stay in Europe this Spring semester. It will also contain the accessories/toiletries that will be going in my checked luggage.
For this trip I plan on bringing the following shoes:
  • 2 pairs of boots: ankle boots (in brown), knee-high boots (in black)
  • 2 pairs of ballet flats: one black pair (open-toed), one beige (close-toed)
  • 1 pair of walking shoes
  • 1 pair of black pumps (just in case)
  • and of course, 1 pair of slippers

I also plan on bringing two ‘toiletry’ bags: one for makeup and one for regular bathroom items (i.e. toothpaste, toothbrush, etc.). In the makeup bag (a gift from my friend Alix!) I am bringing the following items:
  • 1 travel-sized facial moisturizer
  • Tarte Amazonian Clay BB tinted moisturizer
  • Josie Maran Argan Creamy Concealer Crayon
  • 2 Clinique Chubby Sticks (one regular, one “Intense”)
  • 3 NYX Mega Shine Lip Glosses
  • 2 black eyeliners: one pencil, one liquid
  • 1 eyelash curler
  • 1 tube of mascara
  • 1 small bottle of perfume (which I bought in Spain last summer!)

In my other toiletry bag I am bringing the essentials:

  • 1 pair of ear plugs
  • 1 pack of hair ties/bands/elastics
  • 1 stick of deodorant
  • toothbrush, toothpaste, and dental floss (mint flavored!)

Things NOT going in either bag (because they obviously don’t fit) but still fall under the category of ‘Toiletries’ are:
  • 3 small/medium bottles of shampoo (two pink, one red)
  • 1 bottle of lotion
  • 1 jar of facial moisturizer
  • 1 pack of facial wipes

I obviously had some last-minute items to pack (which is why they are all individually photographed), but when it comes to last-minute packing I am a pro by necessity so it all worked out!
